Chicken Shed Primitives will make every attempt to accommodate delivery requests, however we DO NOT GUARANTEE DELIVERY FOR SPECIFIC TIMES. The large volume of deliveries and the unpredictability of the challenges faced during deliveries prevent us from being able to absolutely guarantee the time it will arrive. If you have a deadline, please schedule the floral arrangement to arrive WELL AHEAD of time.

Depending on the delivery location, if nobody is at home to receive the floral arrangement when we deliver during the time slot you were given, we will attempt to call the recipient by the phone number provided. If unable to contact them a note will be left on the door informing them to call us so we can get a time that is convenient. The arrangement or gift will be taken back to the store until we hear from the recipient. Other deliveries that are scheduled will not be moved in order for the driver to return to recipient’s home.

Recipient may pick up the arrangement at our shop at 620 N, US-69, Huxley, IA 50124 during our regular business hours.

Our service includes delivery to funeral homes if the customer requested, we will bring it in and set it up. Chicken Shed Primitives accepts no liability for any damage to the arrangement once it has been delivered to the funeral home, as it is out of our care after that time.

On occasion we are asked to deliver to someone anonymously. If the recipient asks, we are obligated to tell them who sent the arrangement or gift for safety reasons in the prevention of stalking or unwanted attention.

Undeliverable Locations
While we can deliver to most locations in the central Iowa area, there may be a few exceptions and we will inform you before your order is processed.

We cannot make deliveries to either Intensive Care Units (ICU) or Critical Care Units (CCU) of hospitals due to hospital policy. In the event that the intended recipient is in either the ICU or CCU, we will hold the order until they move to a regular room, or will connect with the family who may be in the waiting area.
